AGS offers several types of non-invasive geophysical methods that can be applied in archaeological investigations. We have used many types of near surface geophysics in archaeological investigations with a broad range of objectives ranging from identifying zones that potentially containĀ buried ships, graves, planes, and motorcycles, to railroad tracks, civil war cannons, and gold-filled bunkers. AGS’ non-invasive archaeological geophysical methods allows for rapid data collection, processing, and interpretation; thus providing cost effective, reliable, and clear results while eliminating the chance for damagingĀ valuable structures or artifacts.

AGS has utilized the following non-invasive geophysical methods in archaeological geophysical investigations:

  • Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
  • Electromagnetic (EM31 Frequency Domain and EM61 Time Domain Systems)
  • Magnetometer (MAG)
  • Electrical Resistivity
  • Gravity
  • Seismic Reflection
